The purpose of the MPO sponsored Transit Management Assessment study is to identify potential alternates to the current concept of contracting administative services to a contractor.
While the present administrator has consistently performed for the transit stakeholders, the MPO desires to evaluate alternatives because:
- Only one organization has pursued the Transit Board request for proposals to administer service. - An action plan is needed to sustain transit in the region if there are no submitters in the future.
